Alpha Capital at a glance
- Who runs it: Alpha Capital Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House number 13719951), incorporated on 2 November 2021, with its registered office in Harpenden.
- The accounts are simulated. Alpha says: "Evaluation accounts use simulated funds. After you pass, you stay in a simulated market environment as a Qualified Analyst."
- Platforms: MT5, cTrader, DXtrade and TradeLocker.
- India: Alpha Capital isn't on RBI's Alert List as updated on 19 November 2025, and India isn't on its list of restricted countries. RBI says an entity not on the list should not be assumed to be authorised, and we're not aware of any ruling by an Indian regulator on prop firm fees; the guide to forex trading in India explains where prop firms sit, and prop firm taxes covers payouts. Alpha's own India page says: "Yes. Traders in India can use Alpha Capital."
- UK regulator: the FCA's warning list has an entry for "Alpha Capital Group / alphacapitalgroup.uk". The FCA uses that list for firms it believes may be providing or promoting financial services without its permission. Alpha isn't authorised by the FCA.

Alpha Capital prices
| Account | $10,000 | $50,000 | $100,000 | $200,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Pro 6% (two-weekly / on demand) | $55 / $47 | $227 / $217 | $427 / $397 | $847 / $797 |
| Alpha Pro 8% (two-weekly / on demand) | $67 / $57 | $327 / $297 | $577 / $527 | $1,097 / $997 |

On Alpha Pro you choose the payout schedule when you buy: the two-weekly version costs more, the on-demand version less. Alpha's return policy says "All sales are final and no refund will be issued", so the fee doesn't come back with a payout.
How the daily loss and maximum loss work
Alpha's trading day starts at 00:00 GMT+3, the start of the daily candle on its servers, which is 02:30 IST. The daily limit is checked against your current equity, so open losses count, and a breach closes all your trades and then the account.
The maximum loss is static on Alpha Pro and Swing: a $100,000 Alpha Pro 8% account is closed if equity falls to $92,000, however much it made first. On Alpha One and Direct it trails your highest balance by a fixed amount. Example on a $100,000 Alpha One account with a 6% trailing limit: the limit is a fixed $6,000, so reach $103,000 and the floor rises to $97,000. Once you reach $106,000, the floor locks at the starting balance of $100,000 and stops moving.
Whatever the firm, the rules come down to how much you can lose today and in total. Work out today's room with the drawdown calculator, size each trade from its stop with the prop firm lot size calculator, and check your odds of reaching the target first with the risk of ruin calculator.
Rules that end Alpha accounts
- News: on funded (Qualified) Pro, One and Direct accounts you can't open or close a trade within 5 minutes either side of high-impact news. In the evaluation, news trading is allowed.
- The 2-minute rule: your average trade must last more than 2 minutes, and at least half your gross profit must come from trades held longer than 2 minutes.
- Weekends: allowed on One and Swing; allowed on Pro during the evaluation but not once funded; not allowed on Direct.
- EAs: only trade-management tools, such as lot calculators or break-even scripts, on MT5 and with Alpha's approval. Fully automated EAs, third-party bots, high-frequency trading and latency arbitrage are banned. See the forex EA guide for how other firms compare.
- Copy and group trading: copying signals or other traders is banned. Copying between your own accounts needs Alpha's approval.
- Lot limits on funded (Qualified) accounts: 1 lot per $2,000 of starting balance on Pro, One and Direct (2.5 lots on $5,000, 80 lots on $200,000), and half that on Swing. The help centre says there's no lot limit in the evaluation, though the plan pages list the same caps. Direct also limits risk to 1% per asset.
Payouts and scaling
- Split: 80% as standard, or 90% with a paid add-on; Alpha Direct pays 90%.
- Two-weekly payouts (Pro): every 14 days, starting 14 days after your first trade, with a minimum of $100 of gross profit and at least 5 trading days before the first request.
- On-demand payouts: at least 2% gross profit, and your best day can't be more than 40% of your total net profit. Direct needs a 3% buffer first, then 1% gross profit, with a best day of no more than 15%.
- Timing: Alpha says payouts are processed and paid within 2 business days, by bank transfer, Wise or Rise (crypto only through Rise).
- Limits: up to $400,000 per household across all Alpha accounts, and $300,000 per strategy. Pro and Swing accounts can scale by 10% of the starting balance each time you make 10%, up to $2 million.
Things worth knowing
Finance Magnates reported that Alpha stopped selling to US clients in February 2024 (it now accepts US traders on DXtrade and TradeLocker, but not MT5). In June 2024 it closed about 150 accounts over suspected group trading, then said some flags were wrong and that it would restore those accounts. Alpha's own pages also disagree in places: on the Alpha One variants on sale, on lot limits during the evaluation, and on refunds. Before you buy, check the rules shown for your exact account in the dashboard, and keep screenshots.
